A mailbox sends, receives and stores email. An alias such as quotes@ can deliver into an existing mailbox. Forwarding only passes incoming mail elsewhere and may not provide a reliable way to send from the business address.
Enable two-factor authentication and recovery options. Configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC where supported so other mail systems can better verify messages sent for your domain.
Guided setup checklist
A brand-new domain and mailbox can often be configured in one short session. Moving old mail, connecting a domain held elsewhere and DNS changes can take longer.
